Individuals and families experiencing temporary financial hardship who reside within our service area (St. Mary Parish, Louisiana) are encouraged to apply for assistance. Applications are open to households in need of essential support, including families with children, seniors, and individuals facing unexpected challenges. All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and assistance is provided based on demonstrated need, available resources, and program guidelines. Priority may be given to those with urgent or critical needs.

It Takes A Village: SMP provides essential support to individuals and families facing temporary hardship. Assistance may include food and grocery support, clothing and essential household items, and access to community-based resources. We also offer educational programs such as parenting classes and financial literacy workshops designed to strengthen families and promote long-term stability. All assistance is provided based on availability of resources and may vary depending on individual needs and program capacity.

At this time, It Takes A Village: SMP is unable to provide cash assistance or direct payments for rent, utilities, medical bills, legal fees, personal debts, or third-party fundraisers such as GoFundMe campaigns. We also cannot solicit donations on behalf of individuals or organizations outside of our programs. While we understand these needs are important, our assistance is limited to the resources and services available through our organization.

Proof of residency and supporting documentation may be requested when applicable. Providing complete and accurate information helps us better understand your needs and determine eligibility for available assistance.
